Philippines

During this pandemic, a lot of Filipinos suffered. Not only adults losing their jobs, but also children who are studying are suffering. We know the fact that a lot of Filipinos are jobless, some are completely relying only to what the governments are able to give. During this pandemic, it created people to be more realistic, this pandemic made people realize that if they don’t act on their own they will starve. But not all people are able to do so.

The fact that governments have programs to help people, but still this isn’t enough to sustain the population of Philippines which is more than 110 million as of October 29, 2020. Filipinos are forced to the maximum to work to be able to have food on their table, by being forced to work they are risking their lives amidst the dangerous COVID-19 pandemic. Government are to be blamed for this, instead of looking for solution to lessen the cases of COVID-19 there they are, focusing on less priority things to be taken care of. We firmly believe that our voice be heard as we cry out for the support of government to fulfill our needs. They might not take care the whole of it but at least some of our needs are taken care of.

Millions of Filipinos are suffering, especially our health workers. They are not just tired physically, but also emotionally. Government should act and not just watch Filipinos suffer. Many Filipinos are still struggling up until now and is relying on the government. They might not be focusing on this matter for the past few months, but I really hope that this time they will act and help one another to save Philippines and its countrymen. For that I hope in the future Philippines will become a stronger country than before. Filipinos are known for having strong personality and will, I know together with the people we love we can get through this pandemic, because we are Filipinos.

  1. I agree with you, the government lately have been focusing on unnecessary things instead of making a way to help our fellow Filipinos. And yes we are indeed tough and strong willed and the cooperation of the people will help us get through these problems.

  2. Hi Rio! I admire your care for our Filipino workers especially our healthcare workers who are battling in the front. I, too, hope that the Philippines, just like the Filipinos, will be stronger to go through challenges that we may encounter in the future.
