The COVID-19 Vaccine
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused widespread illness and death, economic devastation, day-to-day challenges, and long-term uncertainty. Scientists are attempting to develop vaccines and treatments as quickly as possible to meet the increasing needs of those affected. To support medical researchers and healthcare professionals in their efforts to better understand and combat the disease associated with the novel COVID-19 coronavirus.
COVID vaccines are now available to children ages 12 and older in the U.S., and trials for younger ages are underway. But misinformation about the vaccines’ safety is still widespread. Being vaccinated does not mean that we can throw caution to the wind and put ourselves and others at risk, particularly because research is still ongoing into how much vaccines protect not only against disease but also against infection and transmission. COVID vaccines are safe, given that it had been into a countless times of clinical trials. Researcher and scientists have been giving their best to formulate this vaccine to help the whole world. Being vaccinated doesn't mean the virus will go away, being vaccinated means that it lessen the threat of getting the said virus.
However, being vaccinated does not mean that we can throw caution to the wind and put ourselves and others at risk, particularly because research is still ongoing into how much vaccines protect not only against disease but also against infection and transmission.
